Town Hall Meeting Project
Town Hall Meetings provides an informal space for the general public to practice open debates and deliberations and to interact with local level political actors, bureaucrats and other decision makers of local development process. By coming together in a space for informal dialogue, local level stakeholders will be able to voice their grievances and problems as well as help local level decision makers generate possible solutions.
In the financial support from The Asia Foundation/ NDI / USAID, Samudayik Sarathi in association of WomenAct and RCDSC has conducted 855 Town Hall Meetings in five years in 66 districts of Nepal. Total 43210 participants especially youth and women had sent their recommendation. We have produced a final report ” Town Halls: Answer to Nepal’s Dempcratic Challenges”
