Samudayik Sarathi is a non-profit-making organization established by a group of youths from different
academic and cultural background in 2007 to promote participatory democracy, good governance, and
social justice through right-based approaches.
Since its inception, Samudayik Sarathi has conducted 855 town halls in 66 districts, collected the opinion
of 43,210 youth and women on 19 different draft bills, organized 141 constitutional dialogues in 45
districts and collected voices of 7,050 youths on four different reports produced by thematic committees
of the Constituent Assembly. Similarly, it has trained 900 WCF and CAC members in five municipalities to
work on public service monitoring and mobilized 140 women leaders in Saptari and Sunsari to carry out
fl ood disaster preparedness and local resource mobilization programs.
The organization has also conducted orientation programs for 360 stakeholders under its inter-generational
dialogues in six districts on women empowerment and gender equality. It consulted 100 stakeholders on
the issue of safe migration and anti -human trafficking through local-level policy dialogues. Samudayik
Sarathi trained 300 stakeholders through six cross-border meetings on combating human trafficking. In
western Nepal, the organization trained 375 women of Sohana and Tharu community in Bardia under
its freshwater biodiversity conservation program. In Kavre and Sindhupalchok, it organized 295 local
people to conduct a mutual accountability promotion program. It recently supported 205 slum children
by setting up a community center in Manohara in association with different NGOs, CBOs and donor
agencies.
