5. Gorkha Earthquake Relief and Reconstruction Activities; 2015 April
Aftermath of the Gorkha Earthquake, Samudayik Sarathi has carried following relief and reconstruction activities:
A. Relief Work
i) SS helped Christian Aid Ministry (CAM), a Berlin, Ohaio, USA based organization, distribute tarps to 1600 households in Sindhupalchowk district.
ii) SS distributed relief package that included tarp and food items to 450 households in Sindhupalchowk district. The relief packages were purchased using financial assistance provided by the Asia Foundation and other individuals.
B. School Support Project: Christian Aid Ministry (CAM) with Samudayik Sarathi as local partner completed constructing 19 new school buildings including one for deaf pupil in Sindhupalchowk district (Maneshwara, Ghorthali and Choketi VDC) using GI sheets as primary construction material. SS provided local support (Coordination) and extended its expertise in social mobilization, and participated in the designing and planning of the program and provided logistic support.2. Cross Boarder Meetings to combact human trafficking after Post Earthquake Context:

6. Consortium for Electoral and Political Process Strengthening (Youth and Women Focused Legislative Town Hall Meeting)
Purpose: To support in increasing people participation in law making process, to promote rule of law, to strengthen democracy and political accountability through legislative discourse.

Highlights of the Program
1. Performed 855 (19 issues x 45 districts = 855) youth and women focused legislative town hall meetings;
2. 43210 individuals participated altogether;
3. Participants included youth from political parties and their sister organizations, youth clubs, NGO activist, CBOs, journalist, local stakeholders and other issue related organization;
4. 19 moderators and 19 reporters were mobilized for each town hall meeting.
5. Informal meeting among 50 youths is conducted in each district and their views were collected;
6. Meetings involved collecting opinion/recommendation through group discussion, group presentation, open floor (comments) using audio/video recording, note taking and meta-card collection etc.;
7. The recommendation and suggestion were documented and analyzed, and submitted directly to the concern stakeholders and to the public through press release/conference;
8. Report publication.
7. Local Governance Action Research (LGAR)
Purpose: To reduce corruption and malpractices and increase accountability and transparency in local service delivery by identifying the effectiveness of the social accountability tools such as participatory planning, public audit, Public Expenditure Tracking (PET), revenue monitoring, Right to Information (RTI), and media mobilization.

8. Youth Focused Constitutional Dialogue (YFCD)
Purpose: To collect public opinion on proposed policies on issues such as national interest (security focus), form of government, federalism, and judiciary as prepared and collected by Constitutional Assembly Committees.

Highlights of the program
Altogether 141 programs were conducted in 45 districts and interacted with 7050 youth on the given issues. Fifteen moderators, fifteen reporters and coordinator were mobilized for this project.
9. Members of Constituent Assembly – A Publication
Purpose: To make a dossier on members of the First Constituent Assembly so that people, non/governmental organizations and international community could easily access information about all 601 members and their expertize, their party based association, and their current involvement.
